Description
Warli art is an art form that celebrates life in its most organic form. It is the commemoration of activities that are done socially or even by families in a household. The purity lies in the simplicity and the idea behind the art which is to portray social life sans the myths or any sort of religious depictions.
The Warli art can rightfully be called something that is close to the prehistoric cave paintings for the paintings are done in the color white on mud walls using clean shapes and figures.
The art form is quintessentially a joyful depiction of activities like sowing, harvesting, dancing, and hunting.
To any culture their farmers play the most important role, hence to pay tribute to their contributions we have created an artwork inspired by the Warli art. This is our attempt to capture the essence of the ploughed fields on a hot sunny day with the unsung heroes making arrangements for everyone’s means of survival. The artwork has been created with organic colours to highlight the significance of grounded white rice used in the creation of the original paintings.
The wood has been carved out in the center along with the outline. The carvings have been given a deep red color inlay with the Warli inspired art going on top of a simple finish table with a raw touch that can be felt with hands.
IMPORTANT – This table is one of its kind and cannot be recreated. We here at Aadhya make hand-painted tables and share an authenticity certificate with our products to ensure originality.
